I just finished Game 65 (1650). I was playing the QA and doing mortal battle against the Cors. Just before I was take another of his Capitals it appears he actually voluntarily moved it.
I suppose the idea was he wanted a Cap without a million Agents on there killing everything in sight, so he would of had a turn or two so he could do some sells and name a Character or two. One of the guys in our Team got one of those Nation Messages stating the Cap had moved. I located it the next turn.
In the end it didnt save him though. The Freeps then conceded defeat about 7 or so turns later.
Maybe one of the Freeps (Cors) from the game can shed some light on this or maybe if you speak with Harly they will put you in contact with Cors player.

Just curious - does anyone relocate their capitals voluntarily in
games? In 1650 scenarios, playing some nations brings the knowledge
that the other side will set up camp in your capital killing all your
characters there. Anyone ever reloate the capital to another major
town in order to foil the agents for a while at least?
I can answer this. The Corsairs didn't move their capital. You must have
got a misleading rumour.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but as a 1650 North Gondor
player and as a Nothmen player, it is very effective
to relocate your capital to a more secure MT such as
2121 (NG) or 3109 (Northmen) It allows you to name
your characters in peace without Din Ohtar or the
newly created Cloud Lord agents whacking them.

Mages can pull double duty like that. They cast the spell and use the
combat arty in the same battle.

hang on! I'm not saying its not a good idea one way or the other! I'm
replying specifically to Phil to say that in game 65, the corsairs didn't
re-locate their capital.
