Random Encounters

Now I dont expect anyone to really care but I am becoming increasing annoyed at the amazing amount of Random Encounters that I seem to be getting (mostly in one game in particular but in a lot of others too) in my games.

Whenever I venture into the Misty Mountains I encounter a Dragon, More often than not a Dragon that eats you no matter what you do (seemingly)

I seem to be meeting Spiders with increasing regularity, In Harandor, Khand, Gondor and Mordor rather annoyingly. I have lost count of the amount of Emmisaries I have lost to Spiders the size of a Horse with a Web across a Shadowy Revine. Usually on Pop Centres too.

One of the games I am currently in I have lost nearly over 1 Character a turn to these random encounters so far, Its becoming really silly!

And it seems if you lose Artifacts from a 285 Order to a Dragon you no longer just drop the Artifacts on the Floor <sigh>

Oh dont worry we are all getting a lot of encounters, its been 2 or 3 a turn for most of the 14 turns in one of my nations.

I wasn’t really worried… Just finding it hard to actually play a nation without characters <grin>… Thought maybe my Welsh Jokes had all gotten back to Clint & Co.
