Has anybody tried recruiting Ando-Anca by offering ONE artifact?
And if yes, how did it go?

the board is a valuable source of information, esp. if your opponent just plays one game 
Fortunately, I can help you. I know for very certain that Ando is only recruitable by offering him evil-aligned agent artefacts. Try it, he is worth it

I am not too sure how much value you can put in the fact that the DS will recruit a dragon this turn. It is not the first time it has happen, I am sure many of those handsome, unshaved young Eothraim men, now in the form of dragonpoop, could have revealed that to you as well 
Anyway, good luck tomorrow, annoying I didn’t make it in game 94, it would have been fun

Due to the fact that we’re enemies I can’t tell ya how to bribe him.
Let’s say he’s not easy to bribe and you won’t manage it this turn !

Played a 1 weeker about 4 years ago. We the free team had got a dragon killer up and running and by the time he, Glorfindel, bumped into Ando he had already bumped off 7 dragons.
The option taken by Glorfindel was not attack but something else, what I can’t remember but something like state allegiance, Ando’s response was (not exact words but close enough)
“I can see what options I have”
Ando then went a joined a Noldo army!
We speculated that Ando knew he’d die and so instead of attacking like he should have joined the free side.
The game was game 53 which we the free won on turn 49
A dragon pressed into service by the FP? Are you serious?
If true, that would be hilarious, but you’d have to come up with a little more proof. Anybody else remembering that game?
What kind of Challange Rank due you need to be to win a fight with one?

the answer on your question is that the strength of the dragons isn’t unique.
You need some special artis which are able to help ya against dragons and your hero should have a really high CR.
