Don't agree with this -- have gone free with my last 4 out of 5 neutral
nations -- just had offers in Dan's game and was trying to keep a balance and make
the game interesting was why i went evil in this one !! Usually in 1650
version go good as the freeps seem to get there arse pounded more in that game -
just won game 57 as freep Duns and was planning on going evil but joined freep to
help out against evil Rhudaur !!

I have no hard feelings about our contact in G221 --
it was fun exchanging with you, and it's fun fighting
you. I don't agree with the theory that we should've
"jumped" you by T5 if you didn't join us. We made our
bid and lost, and you've played well.
Of course, we still aim to crush you.

No, that wasn't the meaning in context of my original comment (not perhaps
the way in which Dan is choosing to adopt it as his mantra). Let's
rephrase it: Neutrals should not be assumed to be the natural allies, or
heroic defenders of other neutrals. Until they declare, they're looking
out for their own interests, there is no obligation for them to look out
for the interests of other neutrals any more than there is an obligation
upon them to look out for an aligned nation.
