Riddle help

Nope :))
I didn't do Tolkein as my Masters or Phd, i picked a different topic, stupid me
For newbies and the not die hard tokein players they are a useful but not game unbalancing little tool. In many cases the encounters have marginal effects or.... it's the only thing stopping you getting the artii you've been hunting. There are some riddles that no-one seems to know the answer to like that alphabetty thing. If it's stopping you getting a good toy into play.....

I feel many feel this way and the good old Bobbins site is still a fantastic resource, over a decade down the track.

Adrian:
Wouldn't that counter-act the purpose of the riddles? That is mystery. lore
mastry etc.

i agree. We need to make a new dbase of riddle and encounter results like
the bobins thingy which is still v.useful but obviously far from comlete.
It would be a huge job unfortunately, mainly trying to source all the
'missing' riddles and encounters and of course the correct responses.

Fred, Scatha was the best sounding answer I saw come
across this thread - can you follow up with the
community with the reply given and the result?

Thanks,

Brad

Many players might take issue with marginalizing RoW
or Tinculin in the early game. Effective power,
assets, often entire strategies and certainly morale
do pivot precariously upon such marginal little items
on occasion.

Personally, I assume that whatever group I'm playing
with will not get any of the damn things...but when
the opportunity is within grasp.. R*I*G*H*T there for
the taking...well, people often have somewhat stronger
opinions in the moment than such a high-level view..!

Cheers,

Brad
