Riddle help

i agree. If we assume little host to be the 'hobbits' then Gandalf would be the logical (not the grey as i think few hobbits called him this ??).
As little host to be the 'fellowship' per say, then probably Mithrandir???
Never seen this one b4. Let us know what happens.

Hi all,

since we've been on the subject of riddles, how about this
straightforward looking one that's not on the bobbins site.

He was grey to most
and white to the rest,
but to the little host,
his other name was best.

It's in a 4th age game

I thought it was pretty obvious as Gandalf but I tried that and got
response (...stood forth and answered, "Gandalf." Nothing
happened. The walls seemed as if they were still waiting..). The
artifact is still at the location and I've got another character
there with the rumour for the encounter.

The other top names would be Mithrandir or The white rider but I
can't see how the little host would like those names better than
Gandalf. I'm tempted to try something like Gandalf the grey as a
longer version of the same thing.

Anyone have a definate answer on this. If not I'll keep trying and
let people know how I do.

Chris Guise
