Well true, but the cave has nothing to do with it. That is just where
the riddle is found during the encounter.
The actual riddle itself is: "Hobbit Murderer"
which would still apply to Smeagol or Grima.

Murderer modifies hobbit in the riddle, meaning a hobbit who murdered.
In this case it also fits smeagol the other way - as one who murders
hobbits. (if it's read the other way with murderer descibed by hobbit)
as smeagol fits the two ways to read the riddle and wormtounge
doesn't...
