Rule Change and Legends for the Rules

My do I agree about both things. The Army morale loss would have to be
drastic (and it would help to give a reason for having morale which is
basically ignored as a game statistic).

As for Legends (this should be on the Legends list I know but having started
up for the 3rd or 4th time in that game I have some experience of it all)
get hold of LPE - helps a lot. Also ask players such as myself and the
Mentors who are very aimiable and can help sort you out - (for example) I
actually understand how combat works now! Have you read Aiko's stuff as that
helps a lot as well but I concur the Rules are a disaster waiting to happen
(and these are the new improved ones at that). I am thinking of writing an
article on the game should real life give me a break (Legends is my fun but
serious game to be enjoyed in the full manner of power-gaming aka AD&D).
For something more subtle try a sledge hammer.

To start of with just hit a lair and see what happens (ask a Mentor what
orders you need to hit a lair btw.)

I've thought about that one. In my version, I would have the have the
army standing still (ie no orders possible), lose morale every turn, and
when morale is low to start losing numbers just as fast. The only way
around that is to send in a new commander to join the army.

Exactly the way it should work!

Its simple to learn (just try playing Legends if you complain about the
rule book), and its is a great team game.

Again, I agree wholeheartedly. Legends is an *excellent* game but the
rulebook is a disaster. Glossy yes, but incomprehensible. Some idea of
what you can do at the start would help and, well, there's just TOO much
information. Why couldn't one find out some of the stuff as you go
along?
