... or how come you can develop a city from nowhere in five turns?
who do I vote for losers to govern our cities every election time ?
... or why armies just vanish simply because their leader has been
killed (demoralised yes, vanish, er, no.)
I've thought about that one. In my version, I would have the have the army
standing still (ie no orders possible), lose morale every turn, and when
morale is low to start losing numbers just as fast. The only way around that
is to send in a new commander to join the army.
I'm not sure what the enemy can do to overcome the abandoned army (apart
from sending in another army to beat it up) - and yes, armies without
leaders do NOT fight very well (the battle of Gondolin showed that one very
well).
... or why Dwarven pony riders have the same combat strenggth as
Eothraim heavy cavalry?
The smell of a dwarf is just as powerful as a Eothraim saber ?
... or why Middle Earth is such a good game despite numerous anomalies?
Its simple to learn (just try playing Legends if you complain about the rule
book), and its is a great team game. The team thing works since we have TWO
(or three in FA) teams. This forces the players to work together and
interact with each other (unless you like losing).
