I've (for example) 100 milit. on a enemy town (for example a
town-tower).
Attacking the Cab provokes the siege of the town and, consequentially
the enemy nation doesn't receive taxes, fails in recruiting troops,
etc. (Of course provokes the death of my 100 milit., and probably
the death of my com. too but it's not it my question ;).
My question is:
-If an enemy army is present in his own town (in my example .... I
don't know .... 1000 mil.). Will the attack of my 100 mil. provoke
the siege of the town (nevertheless the 1000 enemy mil. ) .... or
not?
I can think NO ... because before all we've the troop-combat , and at
the end of the troop-combat I will not have anyone to make the town
attack (and the consequent (?) siege).
I can think YES because in the report we've :
the town is under attack or siege ... THAN the troop combat ... THAN
the eventually (if the attacking army remains with some men) town
attack.
-If an enemy army is present in his own town (in
my example .... I
don't know .... 1000 mil.). Will the attack of
my 100 mil. provoke
the siege of the town (nevertheless the 1000
enemy mil. ) .... or

I can think YES because in the report we've :
The correct answer is YES the town is under siege even
though your army never survived(s) the army combat.
You have to issue either capture pop center or destroy
pop center orders.
the town is under attack or siege ... THAN the
troop combat ... THAN
the eventually (if the attacking army remains
with some men) town
attack.
This is the correct reasoning. In my games I will
attempt to capture/destroy enemy pcs even if I know
the enemy has me beat just to deprive him/her of the
tax revenues and ability to recruit from the pc.
I have also sacrificed my commander to siege a
city/citadel with a 200 man force. By doing that, the
army commander gets killed but I managed to put a
nation out because of bankruptcy.
