Rules question

what happens if you drop a hostage off a boat, pirate style ie; my agents get on a boat head offshore a few hexes and like an unwanted artifact you ‘release’ your hostages. Is it glub, glub time:confused:

or is it assumed that you are really a nice dude and they get a rowboat and a map to the shore and end up some where close by. This is probably a dumb question- but i’m not a real boat man myself, prefer to gallop:D

Adrian

Well what hapens to characters that lose a navy at sea, do they swim ashore or drown?

Vandal

i agree with the logic, they drown and that is kind of what i assumed. What about a shore, populated hex but no harbour, ie: can’t land troops??, but it’s only one character and just offshore. I was trying to imagine the nation message the owner would get. Would you just get your character has died no side info???

Adrian

Well its been 10 years since I did it and looked at the message so dont ask me what it said now.

But if you die, do you care what it says after you are gone?

Well I see you have expanded the question, but now we get inot the quirks of the game and never say never but as a norm I know what my money is on.

Vandal

because i like seeing weird stuff on turn sheets. Something to laugh at and scratch your head ie: report reads. Elrond is hostage and cannot escape, elrond was released hostage, elrond is dead… or write the appropriate ending.

i’m happy within a game to devote minor attentions to quirky stuff. You learn stuff sometimes useful, sometimes trivial but usually amusing. I am a simple person and easily amused.
