Hi,
I was was wondering if anybody knew the exact bonus one gets in combat artifacts that affect certain creatures: elf hewer, etc…
On a side thought, can an effective nation strategy be built around aquiring combat artifacts of this type? Say you are woodman, anything against orcs could be good for instance. for DL, the elf hewe etc…
Thanks,
Pal.
If you have the time and orders to do that, you’ve already won, no?
As fare as I know, these bonusses are unknown and because of the highly random factor in personal combat, they are hard to estimate. The bonus could probartly be calculated from army combat with regards to your example (bonus vs. orcs and elfs). I do not however think the bonus is one that seriously effect combat, because then it would be recognized IMHO. I guess you would get the same effect just by adding a subcommander to your army who also carries a combat artifact, but with the army sizes of the 1650 senario, combat artifacts will not mean a big difference. That might be the case in other senarios, I do not know. Not to diss combat artifacts, they still should be used if possible.
Actually I have never thought of the benefits of the bonus vs. whatever with regards to army combat, only personal combat. Has anybody out there actually seen that e.g. a combat artifact with bonus vs. elfs helped more in army combat vs. elfs that the known combat bonus of the artifact ?
