Seeking low or non experienced players!

Hi,

as some of you may have seen Clint is lookin for opposition for a game described as:

1650: Claus J (DS 10 team - mostly new players)

Claus J that’s me, currently in my first MEPBM game ever, eight of the other nine guys have never played MEPBM (but have gaming experience from various other games), and the last guy is in his first game as well.

We would really like it if there were five guys who would like to play the neutral positions, but if none steps up to it, we’ll just get two guys more and play a 12 vs 12.

Now why am I writing this you may ask? I’m writing this because you may be an experienced MEPBM gamer whith little interest in a beginners game, BUT you may know these one or two guys who has always wanted to know more about this strange looking game you play, but you have never considered them material for your elite grudge team. This is their chance to gain some experience on level ground (we will however try to beat the living daylights out of them). So if you know anybody let them contact Clint, it shouldn’t go through me, to avoid any cheating.

Thanks for your interest

Claus

Hey Claus, just wanted to say that it is great to see more Danish players wanting to try out MEPBM.

If you can’t find any opposition during the next month or so (or more if you want to wait that long), then I would suggest you guys to split the team up, and play to nations each, and play vs. each others.

Hope you get your game going!

/Per

I am currently in my third game after 14 or so years off. Is that considered low experience?

We’ll take them as low as it gets!

I guess that could be all right.

I have a team of new players, me being the exception with a few months experience, if your still looking. We are a team of 10 and are willing to play either side.

Why do I have the feeling that at least one team will get snookered?

Come now Arthy. Not everyone is such an evil old wretch as yourself, or snivelling two-faced egomaniac as myself… I think they’ll have a grand game…maybe we should sign up as neutrals…?

Hi There

Ill join Claus´side, so now we are 3 newbies from game 86, the remaining positions are still occupied by perfectly inexpienced players.

As we are the freeps in game 86, we will volunteer to be the darkies in this one.

quantrill37, have you talked to Clint about this, would be nice to get this up and running soon. With or without neutrals, would be fun if there where neutrals though.

Hello,

I have talked to Clint, who gave me Claus’s email. I await Claus’s reply accepting a grudge game between us.
I only have ten players so unless I can find two other players we will need neutrals.

Quantrill37

Hi out there!

Im the 3. newbie from game 86, where my nation is Cardolan. I probably will play the Witch King, ie staying in the NW.

I have talked about this with Claus and we agreed on the following: We would prefer a game with 10 players on each side and the neutrals are open to everyone.
Hope to attrack some expirienced players for the neutral posistions.

The Lucky One.

Ps: Dear Mr. smuller, if you hold a “grudge” against me, You have a chance to even the scores.

NB: Why Gladstone Gander? Probably Mr. smuller knows why.

Seems like we have two teams then! 10 DS on our side and 10 FP on the other side. Now the ideal thing would be to get five neutrals interested in a game where there should be room for them to make a few experiments. In my opinion they can be as experienced as they want to, as long as they are aiming for a fun game! Anybody out there?

Claus

Hi there

It seems the neutral positions will be occupied very soon. Heard rumors of something like 4.

Hope they will bring along some expierience, would shape the the game in a really interessting way.

To prevent misunderstandings: I am NOT one of these neutrals.

Okay, we’re clear then: Be Wary. Between this board and the mepbmlist egroup, I would assume the neutrals who’ve signed up are aware of the low experience in this game…

Hopefully you’ll get good mentor-types who’ll play a supportive team game. But you’re likely to find the odd player grabbing at one of these positions in order to “try something I’ve always wanted to do…” expecting to have the freedom to do so… Not maliscious in itself, and they might be excellent once they’ve signed onto an allegiance, but you never know what you might find out there…people are funny sometimes…

ps - have fun!

Hi,

let me clarify one thing; I have not heard of a single person, so far, that has agreed to play one of the neutral positions. This can be because people have contacted Clint directly, saying they are interested in joining our game as neutral (which they should do, to avoid any suspicions of foul play), so I’m pretty sure Loke is mistaken!

So all of you out there please join!

The other option is getting 2 players to join a side - as per the 12 v12 game. I have had one player interested.

Clint

My mistake, was a misunderstandig.

Loke

That could be an option, but we would really like to get neutrals in, as we think it will add some extra spice. Anyway we can’t start earlier than september 9, so we still have a few days to find some prospects. I’m quite confident that we could find two extras for our team if need be.

Claus

I am in for a neutral of some sort, any other takers?

I’ve got two more so if Claus and Scott can get their two teams to me we need two more Neutrals and then can start.

Clint

I will have my List to you in a couple of days waiting for account numbers from a couple of more players.
