Siege Question

how do wm function when you give the siege order?

ie, I have small army w/say 4 wm sitting on a mt/tr of the enemy, no
defending army.

there is virtually no way my sized army can execute a successful siege order.
But don't the wm automatically bombard the fortifications, even if the siege
order is unsuccessful, thus giving me a fair chance at taking out the tower?

I have very little experience with sieges. But I believe that there is some
other function at work, other than the bombardment function that occurs when
you attack the pc. So while you probably won't see a bombardment message,
the wm's MAY reduce the tower, and WILL increase your odds of a successful
siege even if they don't take the tower down. I would definitely attempt it
if it serves your larger operational goals.

Wish I could help more, but GSI "would not reveal" much on this, and I
haven't much of a data base.
