Something I would like to see in the game would be an expected turn
deadline day for games before they start as it would seriously affect
what games I would sign up for.
With another company I have 5 Turns that need to be in every second
Saturday (and with one turn being over 300 pages long I have to use a
lot of time for them). Now I was playing 1 Gunboat game which had the
deadline on the Monday after this Saturday and I could cope.
I started a 2nd one and hoped that the deadline would be the
alternate week. No such luck as it turned out to be the Sunday
inbetween my other game and my Gunboat game. Still I coped.. just!
Then the 4th age game came up and since I always wanted this to
appear I joined that too, not leaving the other game as I find that
rude. But its deadline is the Monday of my first Gunboat game.
I might not have signed up for some of these if I knew they were
starting then. Since I am not at home at weekends my time is severely
limited and I am really struggling to get 5 Other game turns and my 3
Gunboat positions done in time.. (Let alone make sure I dont make
mistakes)

* I'd love to see this, too. I could run 4 games if the turns were spaced out right . . .but I have to stick to 2 or 3 "just in case" I get doubled up on turndays.

Er, ever heard of restraint?
Eight games (of anything) on the go at once is six more than I could
reasonably devote time to!

I'm playing the Cloud Lord in a game of 1650 and wanted to issue an uncover secrets (585) order for one of my non-emissaries which I can do as a special.
Unfortunately, this is not possible using MEOW because it says 'character does not have skill or cannot issue two move/skill orders in same turn'. This needs to be changed. If it's not easy, I'd just make that message a 'warning' but allow you to go ahead and issue the order anyway.
I don't know how it works in AM as I don't have Excel so don't use AM.
Yeah Gavin, I know.. I am sure I have played against you in other games at
one time.. There was a time I player in around 15 separate games with around
7 different companies with deadlines ranging from 7 days to 14 days. They
were all spread out so I had at most 2 or 3 on one day and 1 on every other
day. That I can manage.. 8 in 3 days especially when not at home at weekends
I am struggling with.
Anyway its not a major gripe just though it might help Clint and co so they
can decide when I game starting would be good. Might not be helpful for team
games but will be for Gunboat and normal Games.

reasonably devote time to!
I think you were in one of the first ME games I ever played. Certainly we
have crossed paths on more than one occasion!
As for your suggestion: I think it's very sensible. I have had more than one
game with "unfortunate" deadlines, too, so I would welcome this sort of
choice. However, my worry is that this is yet another administrative chore
for Clint with two potential downsides: longer wait times for games to
start, and too many players opting for Monday (ie, post weekend) deadlines,
thus skewing his workload too much.

* Not nessacerily. Filter out the guys who won't be able to play the upcoming turn date and move them to the "next" game. In the end, games might would fill faster as I for one might play in an extra game with the right guaranteed turn date. The same is likely true for others. More players in more games = faster starts. And, oh yeah, more money for M.E. if that's a concern for them.

Yep, and that's a MEOW bug. We handled it for the QA, but not the Cloud
Lord. My apologies. Best suggestion is, edit the output file to show
585, or send a note to Clint and ask them to add the order.
same turn'. This needs to be changed. If it's not easy, I'd just make
that message a 'warning' but allow you to go ahead and issue the
order anyway.
We discussed that during development, but opted to prevent players from entering illegal orders completely. I think it was an issue of erring on the side of caution.
