Subject: History of the Characters in the Game

To whomsoever is knowledgeable,

  I am trying to find a website resource for the background information
on characters from the game. An example is that Duran of the
DragonLord is described as a demon from beyond the Pale. Or that
Carrog is a lesser maiar spirit with his own couple of lackeys.
I find this sort of thing fascinating but I cannot find a resource that
delineates the references to finding this sort of thing out. My
brother gave me a website by baerauble for random name generation that
has some of this in the personalities link.
  Perhaps someone with more knowledge can help out?

Most of the characters in the game come straight out of the ICE Middle Earth Roleplaying modules.
Duran for instance is a demon found in Dol Guldur hanging out in one of the various rooms (I don't
remember why he was there...). Lomelinde for example is a female black numenorian from Umbar and
is mentioned in the module "Perils on the Sea of Rhun".

You can find the various modules on eBay or if you can avoid the Tolkien Estates police you can
download them. There are ways...

I've always wanted to go through and do a MERP-MEBPM bio section but never mustered the time and
energy.

That's a most excellent idea Matt. Having a brief biography for each
character would give players an idea of who and what exactly they are
placing orders for and heighten the game experience as a whole I would
think.

If you did get the inkling to put such a subsection together I'm sure
there would be several volunteers, myself included, who would hop
onboard to help.
