SV: 1 Week turnaround game

looks like there is some interest for this after all.

When will it run?

Hello Clint,
I would be interested in a one week game preferably the Sinda Elves.

Cheers
Damien

Depends on the numbers we have got the beginning of the game.

I don't want players to specifiy only this if not I am not interested as it
is such a difficult style of game to get players for. (We have tried a
number of times in the past to get a game like this sorted and failed in
every instance. 2 nations seems to help.)

As for when it will run each week - day to be organised as we get closer to
the game being filled but with a bit more interest I can sort something out
here.

Your reply to the chap who asked about Harad & Cor suggested that this
is to be a pre-aligned neutrals game. Your first announcement of hit
however didn't say that (apologies if it did, I didn't keep it). Is it,
or is it not a pre-aligned game?

To be decided the format and style of the game. Basically we have tried to
get one-weekers up and running before hand and they have fallen on their
face a number of times.

So if we can get a base of players then between them it would be best for
them to choose the format rather than be strict about it. Regardless of
that I doubt that the Harad/Corsairs would be appropriate.

If it came down to a pre-aligned nation game then we have found the standard
format (Cor/Dun good Har/Rhu evil no East) to be a usable format but all is
negotiable there.

My apologies if I wasn't clear enough earlier like I said just want a feel
before going ahead with it.

Still not with you. If a team approaches you, they might specify that
they'd like it to be (or not to be) a pre-aligned game. But, people are
signing up under that condition. You said you didn't want people to
sign up for this one under conditions. I think you need to state
whether it's pre-aligned or not, when you announce the game - you had no
hesitation in declaring that it was "1 week" and "1650".

In short, I would be interested in playing Corsairs, but only as an
ordinary (not pre-aligned) neutral.

Right that's okay - I can only try again. At present I have around 4
players (maybe 6) interested in the game. This is not enough to go further
at present as I have been here before trying to the get the game going and
failed. So I need to keep the options open - which generally works in
getting games filled and going easier than being very specific about the
style etc of the game. If players have a specific preference then I can
work towards that but at present I don't have that in all except 2 cases.

Does that help?
