Dear Mike,
Using Automagic A1.06, I have a problem with opening the pfd files. I have
followed the instruction and made a game file path, where I have saved a pdf
file "dol-20.pdf".
When I then click the "Latest turn" link in the Orders section, following
error occur (in danish, here translated to english):
"Cant open the specified file"
I run Win NT, Office 2000 Danish version. Hope someone can help me or has
seen the error before.
Med venlig hilsen
Kim Andersen

Emne: [mepbmlist] AutoMagic UPDATE A1.06
Newest revision to AutoMagic (A1.06) has been posted. (Whenever significant
enhancements are added to the file, they bring with them the inevitable
errors.
Hopefully we won't be adding too much more in the way of enhancements.)
Anyway, once this version is out for a while and all the new bugs have been
worked
out, (and assuming no more significant enhancements), I may be able to stop
dumping
new revisions on all of you every week.
Some of the significant enhancements/fixes are:
--------------------------
ORDERS sheet:
RE-FIXED Mage order 737 skill problems. (now allows you to 737 and cast
spells)
CHANGED 725 order to check for total new char skill points not >30
ADDED more data validation to check that required additional info that's
supposed to be a NUMBER actually is. (Prevents putting "1000HI" when
you should only be entering "1000", or "65%" when it should be "65".)
ADDED data check to ensure you don't have anything AFTER no/ev during
army move.
INSTRUCTIONS:
ADDED explanation of Excel's AutoComplete and AutoCorrect features, and an
option to
easily disable and re-enable them.
-------------------------
There was also a request to put out a version compatible with Excel 95.
Unfortunately,
while looking into this I discovered that ALL of the data validation and all
of the
conditional formatting (the yellow "error" boxes) is disabled when I save
the file as
an Excel 95 file. This means that you apparently need Excel 97 or later to
use
Automagic. (If anyone out there knows differently, please let me know.)
Also note that due to SIGNIFICANT pressure from MeGames, the full
(uncompressed)
version will be posted along with the zipped copy. Apparently there are some
people
out there who use Excel, but do not have access to any sort of Unzip
software
whatsoever!?
