Just because one person is rude is no excuse for a rude reply...

Rudeness is when you butt in when things don't concern you. I did
indeed sign up on this list to be able to post and communicate when I
chose to. I did not sign up to receive 50 pornography messages a day.
I may not be as computer saavy as you lil devil, but I at least know
how to mind my own business.
You're on an open list. It's all our business if the email is in
our Inbox.
What messages are you talking about? Pornography? There are over
350 subscribers to this list, and I'm assuming they're mostly
happy with the MEPBM content they're receiving. Anyone else ever
get ANY pornography from here? I think mr kingoftherill is spewing
his venom at the wrong crowd. Note the stuff below my name: I
think somewhere down there it tells you how to unsubscribe...

\Mr Brunet;
My original message was from months ago, when I first signed on to
this list. I got spam mail in droves inviting me to join this or that
pornographic site. As this was the only group I had joined it was
obvious that my subscribing to this site at that time put me on some
kind of spam master list. I have children who also check emails on my
email account and did not want them exposed to such trash. As such I
tried to unsubscribe; unsuccessfully and so sent the message to get
me off the list. The spam promptly stopped when that was done. Later
when talking to a fellow gamer with more internet saavy he explained
to me how I could filter what came to me if I wanted to be able to
use this board. I resubscribed using his advice and have not had the
problem again. This thread was in response to lil devil, not to the
majority of the subscribers on this board who I am sure are great
people, my point was that my request to get off the board back
whenever it was did not involve lil devil or anyone else and required
no snide comments from anyone, and surely did not need any insults
such as being called a dick by someone who hasn't an idea of who I am
or what I am about. Thanks for you comments though.

This is a YahooGroups "feature", and it is prompting me to try and get
rid of all Yahoogroups that I can. Spammers subscribe to all open
lists and run computer programs through them to search for valid email
addresses. They then send you tons 'o spam.
The best responses? Complain to Yahoo.
Complain to their internet service providers and NEVER follow their
unsubscribe instructions. All this does is give them a verified list
of email addresses which can then be sold to other chickenboners.

This could well be the case. However I both subscribe to and maintain
a number og Yahoogroups and simply don't get any spam, let alone of a
pornographic nature. I've never tried to filter it out, because I
don't get any!
This makes me wonder whether it isn't as simple as Marc suggests.
That said, I'm sure we'd all like the choice of using another service
other than Yahoo - the question is, does anyone know of a similar
service (i.e. that offers the same benefits)?

Cornhuskers! (an evil nation). Would love to talk to

I may do for you, and if you have any questions let me
