How do I get on one of these 'team' games?
Usually when you have played a good communicative ordinary game, and
then decide you would like to play again with the same people. The team
sort of evolves.
And whats a 'grudge match'? Is
there a difference?
As I understand it, that's an Americanism. I think they use it for a
"return match". i.e. if you've been beaten and want to play with the
same bunch of losers against the guys who thrashed you. In MEPBM this
usually involves playing the other allegiance - the DS having such a
huge advantage.
Colin alluded to me joining a team game with him some time back (until he
realised what a total duffer I was)! I haven't heard anything since.
Is there some secret handshake I have to know?
Do I have to be popular?
Oh no. Those of us in team games often abuse each other terribly!
Strong opinions, and strong characters. It's a sort of love/hate
relationship. You do have to be a die-hard sticker - nobody will want
you on a team again if you drop games when the going gets tough.
