Subject: [mepbmlist] TEST ONE was Digest Number 103
From: "Laurence G. Tilley" <laurence@lgtilley.freeserve.co.uk>
As you can probably tell from the subject line, I get this list in digest
form.
I have been getting some very unusual ones lately, but only when Laurence
Tilley makes a contribution.
Whenever a mail from Laurence appears in the list, the header appears to
end the list.
An example of this can be found after the dividing line at the end of this
message. To actually read what was in Laurence's message, and the 20
messages following it I had to go the the archive on the onelist website.
I believe that there may be a problem with Laurence's Email software which
is causing the insert of an end of file marker (or something similar) at
the beginning of the message which is causing the rest to be cut off.
Laurence: May I request that you investigate this problem? Noone is
actually getting the bodies of your messages.I'm puzzled. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the mails
when people receive them straight from the list, cos I get replies. It is true that I use a long-in-the-tooth e-mail program (Turnpike), but
I use it because it is usually so reliable. My e-mails usually start with a full stop (because the prog insists on
some type of opening) Perhaps that's the problem.I'll try two tests to the list. If Kevin, Nick and Clint would be kind
enough to reply then this would help me resolve the problem. This is TEST ONE. Do you three get this OK? (Others please ignore)
Regards,
Laurence G. Tilley
