The big late turn debate

Note, there is a difference between priority in routing and priority in email. Perhaps an exchange or mail admin can validate or refute, but I am pretty sure that "Highest" priority is only a marker for the person receiving the email saying "HEY! LOOK AT ME!" I know that you marking your email "Highest" priority has no effect on its network routing, and I would also guess that if it has reached the mail server, where any additional benefits of it being marked a different priority, most of the issues has been resolved. You saying this is high priority will not make the internet route it quicker.

Clint, you may be able to convince your email provider (or adjust your account settings) to dump the email to multiple sites. Another option is to use a publicly available mail service, such as a yahoo or other, to create a mail list, add multiple accounts, and have people send their turns to that mail group. You can designate multiple email addresses to receive the email, people can set up their personal accounts to set up requests for received and read receipts. As far as people's ISPs having email issues at the last minute, there is no good answer there. I usually send my turns in last minute, so I maintain different email addresses with different email providers. If one is down, then I use another. Redundancy is the best way to catch server or network issues.

...Marking email priority High will not change this.

Anyone able to confirm this or know anything more about this?
