Anyone able to confirm this or know anything more about this?
Is it possible to set the priority on the auto-ack? As I
understand the
principles, setting the priority to 'Highest' ensures that
the email takes
the shortest/fastest route to its destination. Ditto for
turn submission -
I ALWAYS set the priority for my turn to the highest
setting, ensuring the
mail servers/routers/bridges/nodes, pass the message along
the fastest route.
I made further enquiries: the priority has absolutely no effect
in transit. It only has an effect at the sending and/or
receiving end if the sys admin has bothered to set up the system
to make use of the setting. Most don't bother: you need to
be dealing with a heck of a lot of messages for it to have
an effect.
