Also a high proportion of Americans have "supposedly" been taken up by
aliens (oen study went as high as 50% of people in the US had seen UFOs or
abducted)... @:-)) (alien sign).
He he... At the university we have an old professor (I won't give you the name)
who once claimed that the reason why americans and australians can't do anything
right is because america was built by the people who were too dumb to make a
living in Sweden and other european countries, and had to emigrate to america, and
that Australians are what they are because they're descendants from the worst of
the worst of murderers and bandits! There you have the explanation!

Allow me to reassure our special friends across the pond that we really aren't
that crazy!
Well, I dont think that we can blame those that left Sweden ;-), but besides that...maybe the old guy had a point.

RD: Just in case you haven't heard this story: an Englishman flew to
Australia on business. A Customs officer asked him (amongst other
questions) if he had a criminal record. The Englishman replied, 'No, I
didn't realise it was still necessary.' If this story isn't true, it ought
to be!

RD: As an Englishman who went on holiday to Scandinavia in a motor caravan
with 3 mates, I have to say I found the Swedish people second to none in
friendliness and hospitality. Maybe we were lucky that we arrived in time
for the midsummer festival at a campsite somewhere on the Baltic coast. The
Swedes made us Brits feel like celebrities and boy, do they know how to
party!
Lovely people, shame about the climate. No wonder so many left for
California.

You probably was in the occupied area (old danish territory)

Most got tired before getting that far west....ending up setteling in a country where the climate was a bit like home.

PS: it's the first time I ever heard a Brit complain about Our weather

Glad you liked it! Have to say though, I like our summers better than
rain, our
heavy snow fall better than rain, heck I even like our nice little rains
better
than those all day downpours you have across the channel! And the Swedes
didn't
go to California, but places like Michigan and Minnesota. The ones who
went to
California must have been Danish, and THAT explains it!

Nah the danes was far to lazy to continue and also decided to stay in Minnesota, Michigan and that area. I do believe the swedes either couldn't find their way to california (hey its hard to find west on the compas) or they just loved the danish beer and stuck around to see if they could find some more ;-).

Now that explains why I still haven't been able to get my ass over the pond to america. I went to Copenhagen first and found the beer there! Laziest of them all... Yes, I'm one of those drunk swedes throwing up on your streets! Long live the new bridge between Sweden and Denmark! And yes, west is very hard to
find on the compass, at least when moving armies...
