What do players think about this? Should we step in and if so at what

To me it depends -- main thing i would like to know is what
did the other team-mate do to get his other team mates to attack him -- If he
japped another team mate , for example -- then by all means i agree with
getting revenge -- but if its just to take over first place and that team
mate is in first -- then by all means i do not agree with attacking the team
- mate !!

So i would say you would have to find out each
circumstance before you intervene !! As the teammate that is getting attack
-- just might deserve it !!

Just my two cents worth !!

I agree - circumstances are very relevant to the decision making process.

RD: having read all the emails on this subject before coming back to this
one, I say, Harle should NEVER interfere in a game just because there is
in-fighting within a team.

Hell, the victory conditions frequently require you to kill an allied
character or take his pop centre. Harle can't tell whether in-fighting is
because of this or because of ill-feeling or because it is some loose
cannon's perverted idea of having fun.

If a player is subjected to personal abuse by another, that's a different
kettle of fish. Report the culprit to Harle and they can then take action
against him.

Richard.

I think Harlie should interfere. In some cases, heck I might say most,
there is a real possibility that the person will sabotage their position
and then drop the game. If they don't wanna continue, then fine and go
drop. Else the whole thing escalates and

I once reported 3 guys in one game who joined together were intending to
sabotage their positions and help the enemy. It was turn 10 and very
likely would have caused the complete dropping of their side, then
causing an all around grumbling as the game ended... making all feel
their money was wasted. Harlie stopped them and had a talk with them
about it. They allowed their teammates to find replacements.

It's Harlie's game overall. No one has the right to sabotage other
people's game. Every sport I know encourages good sportsmanship. I can't
see why PBM shoudn't either.
