I very much like the KS game with all those individual setup options. It has tons of potential. My grudge team started two parallel KS team games in 2012, they lasted for 22 turns until about a year ago. Then our team and the opponents collectively dropped, because the bugs became unbearable. We had encountered several of them in both games up to the point where whole turns had to be re-run.
This caused a lot of frustration for everybody involved and we vowed that we would not give KS another chance unless the bugs are eliminated. Maybe now it is the time, so pray tell all you KS players out there: how is the gaming experience?
Got three kinstrife’s going at the moment, two are recent starts but 617 just ran turn 17 or 18. The short answer is, no, its not bug free. However, it IS palyable. We have likley had an issue with results 2 out of 3 turns, but in general they are minor and Rob does a pretty good job of policing, clairfying and correcting the turns (and updating the code, I believe). THings like “hey, should the loyalty really have dropped this much?” or “It doesnt look like the Buy side of the +20 Buy/Sell SNA worked right”. Note that we generally dont complain about the things that go too well, so improvement on those items is slower.
Kinstrife has no major bugs, still has annoying minor bugs, and it is playable in my opinion. Thanks to your previous teammates for identifying the big fixes.
ANd yes I agree. If fourth age is customized 2950 without dragons, Kinstrife is customized 1650 without dragons–I like it!

Even if the bugs are considered “small” - 2 out of three turns is simply not acceptable. It is a total PIA when you have to check your whole turn mistrusting practically every game mechanic.
I see only one solution that might make me join another KS game: label it beta-testing, because it is beta-testing. cut down the turn fees at least by half, and only because we appreciate that MEGames is clinging to an old-fashioned gaming concept that is expensive to be moderated.
Hi Mormegil, I know where your feelings came from and we appreciated all the work you guys did in the actual beta test but the game state is not as you have described in your last post.

I for one am enjoying playing versus a grudge team who have pulled off complex set up options, followed by intricate turn 1 moves that have created a large army in an unexpected place putting us under real pressure! I am also enjoying playing against encounters that are not known by any players!
Pretty sure I was one of your opposition in those grudge games (608 & 609). I can say that I have picked up KS again and it is well beyond the beta stage and that which we experienced in those two games.
yes, you have been on our opposing team - an excellent one, if I may add - so your opinion means a lot to me.
If you say the game is playable, we indeed might consider taking up one.
