can I use the army to army troop transfer order to transfer ALL of my troops?
or does the program automatically reserve 100 troops in transferring army to
keep it intact?
obviously, if all transfer, the army automatically disbands.

Nope, you can xfer all the troops.

Right -- and the baggage train is lost, i.e. food, weapons,
armor, etc.
I just learned that two armies can xfer troops between
them even if one xfer temporarily reduces the troops
to less than 100. For example, two armies of 100 troops
can each transfer their 100 troops to the other, and
neither army will be disbanded. All that matters is
at the end of the xfer orders, that each army has at
least 100 troops.
BTW, I had thought this list was for the purpose
of discussing national nicknames and military
history. I don't mind an occasional ME question
but let's not make a habit of it.

P.S. Is my humor wry or what?<g>
Yes, and you can transfer all your troops, or split them all off to a
subcommander, and be left without an army.
Note that TrTrps does _not_ transfer any food, so if you transfer away
all your troops, any food in the army disappears.
