I have been rereading Unfinished Tales lately. One of
the tales is about Turin, Son of Hurin.
I'm thinking Turin would be of the Northmen Nation if
in the 2950 scenario. Is that correct? If not what
would the nation be? or Is his a destroyed nation
within 2950 because of Easterling occupation over the
centuries?

Turin was a member of the House of Hador, in the First Age,
dwelling in Hithlum in the north of Beleriand. All that
country sank undersea at the end of the First Age (Lindon, the
northwest corner of the MEPBM map, is the southwest corner of
Beleriand and the only part that survived.)

One of the more obnoxious new age beliefs is the one that says that if
enough people just want something, and think hard enough about it, then
it will happen without anyone actually having to get up and actually
do something about it.

Turin son of Hurin was a First Age hero of the Third House of the Edain, ie, he was a Dunedan. He died childless and the land he fought for was drowned before the Third Age (1650 & 2950 scenarios) began. The land Turin fought over was drowned and was totally different, geographically and time-wise, to the land fought for by the Northmen in 2950 (or 1650).
So sorry, but you can't link Turin with the Northmen. The 3rd Age Northmen had a bit of Dunedain blood but not much.

I must say I was thinking Dunedan to begin with but I
wasn't find any 2950 geographical references.
Additionally, the references to Easterling occupation
of Dor-Lomin (sp?) confused me about the region of
interest.

Before Beleriand sunk, all Men from East of the mountains,
were referred to as Easterlings, I believe. Without knowing
for sure, remnants of the mountains the comprised the Eastern
border of Beleriand are that line of mountain with the Dwarf
pops in Noldoville (grey? white? blue? aqua? peach? what
mountains are they again...?)

Ered Luin (Blue Mountains) formed the border between Beleriand and
Arnor. Of Beleriand only Forlindon and Harlindon (both part of the
Lindon region), and the top of Himling are left. The rest sunk under
the sea.
