Hi everyone - PLEASE, Please, please, make sure that you stick to the
standard format of turns that we have put on the help sheet. Ie Subject
line:
ME29/24
.... and in the main body of the email (or attached .txt file)
ME 29
Player: 24
Security Code: 1234
Due Date: 15th July 2000
Fred Bloggs
A/c: 109999
Alfred (alfre) @1234 (com,age,emi)
810 1235
900 86
Beattie (beatt) @ 2345 (Com)
947 1234 le 100
948 2345 4321 go 10,000
etc.
Only put this information in please - thanks. This will help us to help you
all a lot, because when you don't do it you will get really peeved when we
say "sorry we cannot help out here - there was a player error". (As per
usual if it is our fault we'll sort it out.)
Also ONLY send to the me@harlequingames.com email address.
Clint the very frustrated...
PS for those already doin the above - thanks - it helps a lot.
(Incidentially the security code is used for inputting orders, the a/c is
used for EVERYTHING else including sorting out reprints, account details,
contacting you etc.)

WOAH! This is important. I see the other e-mail about parallel rather
than vertical format, but that's not what makes a difference. The order
code letters are. PLEASE make your recommended format:
Alfred (alfre) @1234 (com,age,emi)
810 MovChar 1235
900 FindArt 86
Beattie (Beatt) @2345 (Com)
947 NatTran 1234 le 100
948 TranCar 4321 go 10,000
The order code letters were included by the designers as a double check.
They are useful, and you should not omit them. I know that you have, on
occasions in the past, input an incorrectly given number, where the
letter code was correct, but having that letter code MUST help you, if
for example you get a non-existent code number.
Secondly, in most of my team games now, draft orders are circulated
round the team, before they get sent to you. I can't tell what someone
is doing from a list of numbers. But with the letter codes, it is much
easier for me to tell someone "you've got two command orders there" etc.
And I am more often the beneficiary than the benefactor of this service!
Regards,
Laurence G. Tilley
