i was kinda torn on doing this setup, but this kinda thing shouldn’t spill into other games… i don’t like frank redmond, and frank doesn’t like me. it started with game 56, and will end in this game.
frank dropped the challenge, and i took it up. the format was 12 vs 12, 1650 with forts, no 1 ring. frank gets one side, i get the other. harly picks the sides. first turn runs early nov. frank got the freeps, i got the evil.
thats it, aside from the pile of cash being dropped on this contest. the results will speak for themselves.
gosh, i like frank redmond. although he’s currently giving my team a hard time in grudge game 53… but that’s what competitors are supposed to do… I’m sure I like you too Smuller, though i don’t know if we’ve played together or not…
guys, you must be rich, brave, bored, and have a lot of time on your hands. i’m running 10 turns in 4 games and it’s a huge time/money investment. i can’t imagine doing an entire game by myself. kudos! I bow before you.
That’s the standard 12v12 grudge setup where forts are added to the DS MT at 1910 and the FP MT at 4217. I too salute you two guys. Playing an entire side has always been a fantasy of mine…you give new meaning to the phrase “grudge match.”
Hey, I bet you’ll get a lot of fan responses here… I have an idea: instead of the loser pays, how about the loser honours a self-imposed exile from this forum forever?
Yo, Vandal, here’s an idea. After you have finished the game we have a grudge match between the really hated and the really self rightious.
Scott, you and myself are the least popular guys on the forum. The three of us take on three folks with two, or more, green squares of popularity. Naturally, we are the DS and the GM gives us free reign in the dirty tricks department.

How did I get drug into this? I’m playing the whole Free side now against Chris Guerra’s DS team and we’re on turn 19. I played a whole side before against Chris Courtieur, he played the whole other side. This game 72 is not something new. I’ll probably play a whole side again when a few of my other games are done.

in response to your misdirected, misplaced banter on the uk 56 thread in the last 2 days after this thread was created, i WANT to be on the hook for a cash incentative. find a workable solution for exchanging monies, and we can play for a cash prize. cash is what i am interested in. banning a guy, nah. can not be enforced, and i want you read how long i play with your money. thats more painful. if your asking for trust, i don’t like you, don’t respect you, so why would i give you my trust? if i’m willing to play/pay for 12 nations, i think i can find some more cash. you proposed the cash reward, whats your plan? there it is, I WANT TO PLAY FOR MONEY! what do you have in mind to ensure payment?
i am playing this game solo, as i expect you to do. whatever your angels/devils comment meant, if you wish to give yourself the exit rational that i’m cheating, knock yourself out. when your defeated, it was all me, all the time. nobody has looked at my setup, i have no reason to expect/suspect different from you. this all goes to my point on trust in the last paragragh concerning money.
i want to beat you on a square, level playing field. if you have a problem with your computer crashing, or orders not getting into harly, tell me, and we can work something out delaying the game a week. no, its not nonsense. when i win, i want nothing from your mouth but “the better player won.” you’ll get nothing less from me. if you want to add cash to that sentence, show me a plan.

Steve accepted your challenge the minute you offered it. Why do you claim he broke his word? You’re the one who ran and hid when he did so, see pages 3 and 4 of the game 56 thread, and don’t claim you didn’t read it like you did last time.
When did he swear? No really, I’ve double read the posts and all I see is the word “hate” a couple times. I, like all the voyeur fans out there, am simply curious.
