Is there any way MEGames can get rid of these inappropriate messages
like the 2 preceding ones? I thought this forum was for stuff related
to Middle earth the game, not how hard up losers find a "date" on the
internet.

They tried moderating all messages in the past, it was
too much administration and messages were delayed,
leading to more complaints than the odd innovative
spammer created. It's a complicated world, let the

It's really easy. Clint just has to set the list so that the first post a person adds is moderated. A lot of lists do this and it reduces spam to zero.

Clint,
I wouldn't bother. It will be just one more thing you have to deal with on a daily basis that doesn't help get the turns out. Anyone with a lick of sense can tell by the subject line that spam is spam. Just delete the darn things guys, instead of trying to put more admin burden on Clint & the boyz.

Drew, it's a one-off action, not a daily thing. I've run lists like that and it saves a lot of bother. The first mail from a new email address goes to the moderator, not the list. If it's a real MEPBM post, Clint adds the address to the approved list. Any future posts from that address go straight to the list without intervention, as they do now. If it's spam, he does nothing or blacklists the address if he wants to be extra careful.
The Campaign Cartographer list is run this way by ProFantasy Ltd and there's never a spam problem.
Also, you might not have noticed, but this list appears to have attracted a bit more attention recently, which means the list has probably been marked as "active" and will be the target of even more spam in future.
