Hi everyone,
You likely saw Clint’s post to the mepbmlist Yahoo Group the other day as well as the Middle-earth newsletter article that went out today about the Yahoo Groups migration. This email mailing list that I am posting to right now is going away. The Yahoo Groups mepbmlist will not be used by Middle-earth Games to post announcements anymore. So…everyone… it’s time to move to the new MEPBM Forums!
We will need all MEPBM players to make sure they have an active MEPBM Forums account so that Clint can post announcements that will be emailed out.
Signing up for a MEPBM Forums account
Please visit the MEPBM Forums and create an account, if you have not already done so. The link is here:
If you don’t want to remember another username and password, you can use your Google or Facebook account to log in to the MEPBM Forums.
If you had an account on the old MEPBM Forums, you can recover your password on the new MEPBM Forums following the steps on the FAQ here:

How will this all work?
I setup the MEPBM Forums so that if Clint/John/Edward (or another Middle-earth GM) ever posts a new topic to the MEPBM Forums with the category “GM Announcement”, a private category only accessible to the Middle-earth Games GMs, then the first message of that topic (not all of the messages, just the first one) in the thread will be emailed to all MEPBM Forums users.
This allows the Middle-earth GMs to use the MEPBM Forums as an ad-hoc announcements email list. Replies to the GM Announcement emails sent from the MEPBM Forums will require that you click on the “Visit Topic to respond” button in the announcement email itself. You will not be able to reply via email. Forums are web-based, so replies need to be from a web browser. This is good news for those of you who don’t want to see the banter via email that often takes place after Middle-earth GM posts to the mepbmlist Yahoo Group.
Any replies to the Middle-earth GM posts will be on the Forums and can be viewed by all users without inundating you with a bunch of new email.
Please visit the MEPBM Forums to create an account (or recover your password if you had an account on the old MEPBM Forums).
PS: I am going to attempt to migrate all 20 years of posts on the mepbmlist Yahoo Groups to the MEPBM Forums so that are still searchable. I have a script to do this, I just need to find the time to get it running.
