If it's located in a city that's a major airport hub, I would consider attending. As with everyone, depends on dates and final location. L.A. (California) is currently $275 from my home in North Carolina.
As numbers grow, any chance of having an event on both coasts?
Recommendations:
East - Boston or Atlanta
Central - Chicago or Dallas
West - LA or Phoenix
You might even consider holding it in an airport hotel/convention center for easy access. Less on-ground transportation cost and usually cheaper nightly rates.
I do event planning for my company. Bring the game to the Raleigh-Durham area (Raleigh Durham International Airport - Airport code RDU) and I'll volunteer to help make arrangements. For the UK crowd, there's a straight flight from Gatwick!
