We understand that the US is a big place. I think that the posting by the
players was an attempt to get the game going with a bit of provocation. We
tried to organise something like this before in the US and nothing came of
it.
We're not on holiday. The Copenhagen trip took weeks of organising, an
enormous amount of work for us - it took a few weeks to get back into the
swing of things at work and I know that I was exhausted after it. Holiday
it is not. (I got to see 5 minutes outside the Scout hut, and got driven
1,000 miles, there and the same back.)
So my understanding of
Scandanavian culture, is cold, big bridges, slow cars (or is that Chris'
driving?), friendly people, unpronouncable names, pizza hut. But mustn't
complain...
For players as well you won't have much time outside of the game to sight
see. Trust me, I have done this three times now and planned more of them.
At present the point is particularly moot as we don't have enough players
for even one location.
Thanks
Clint
Clint and all,
As your email said, the USA is a big country. I know
you guys wouldn't be on vacation. I am interested but
I can't afford the airfare to MN and pay for a room
AND pay for the turns. I have no qualms about footing
part of the expense to get you over here if I
participate. I would have been interested in the
second game if it was at/near Washington DC since that
is within driving distance. I would have loved it if
the game could have been setup in or around NYC. My
best guess is that you will have to pick a definite
place before anyone will make any plans.
