Anyone know how victory points are given out for ARMY and POPS?
Also how does a TIE (rare thou it may be) get scored?
Thanks,
Gary

The rules on Victory Points should explain it as well as
anyone ("...related to size, quality..." etc, blah blah).
I don't believe I've ever run across any kind of deciphered
formula regarding what exactly a Town is "worth" compared to
a "Village" and how loyalty works into that, etc. Same for
troop type, armour, weapons. Once heard the Army Points are
directly related to the nation's total Strength and Constitution,
but I don't believe the company (even if THEY know...) usually
let that kind of information out...
As for Orome in your other message, he sounds like a serious
dude from the Silmarillion. I'm quite sure they're looking for
the name of a specific place...and I don't think it's in Middle
Earth....
I'm wondering why you're that interested in Victory Points?
Cheers,
Brad

Brad,
I am getting ready to release an article for Bree or the web site
that will make people stand up and look at Victory Points in a whole
new light.
As for Orome, he is a pretty big dude...found lots of good stuff on
him but only exact spot he pops up is Arda...and I think this is a
longshot at best on this riddle (Arda = too broad).
Thanks for the help,
Gary
p.s. I was told by Clint that a possible POP equation is: a camp is
1xloyalty, VIL = 2xloyalty etc for an additive "score" which yields
RANK. I am testing this now.

Brad,

I look forward to it.

"...found lots of good stuff.."
Meaning, you've found him on searchs, Tolkein encyclopedias, but
NOT in the Silmarillion...? That's where it's all from, I'd bet
you'd find a mention of him, his tastes, activities, and multiple
place names if you tried hacking through the index.
Thanks for the help,

I like "possible"
That's the initial assumption, pretty basic.
Might simply be a Total pop size (1-5) X an Average Loyalty. More
basic, but this is an old program..

Yep this guy is all over Silmarillion, third book, guide to ME book I
have...but no real specific clues except he was known as Tauron or
lord of the forest.
As for possible solutions from ME...you hit the nail on the head when
you said they might not have a clue...
