It is not unusual for two nations, of the same allaince, to have the same number of victory points. The tie breaker goes to the nation with the lowest nation number. That is, Woodmen outrank Easterlings.
By TIE I meant in scoring one of the four categories that add up to
the total VP score...sorry I was not clear.
This is rare as how often does two nations have exactly 35,000 gold
or match up on exactly on CHAR skill points.
So say two nations tie for the most gold at exactly 50,000 in the
bank, how would they give 500 VPs??? possible solutions both get
500, one gets 500 the other 450 (based on lower nation number???)
both get 450??? Still not sure of any answer.

Trivial thread, but interesting, as many different aspects of

If you have a particular problem with the whole idea of Victory
Points itself, feel free to express your mature, rational, and
well thought out views. But otherwise, please retain control
over this kind of childish outburst.

Victory Points are VASTLY under-estimated in their worth. The light
will be shed soon, hopefully in Bree and on the MEPBM web site.
I've known people in the past who used victory points to establish, roughly,
what kinds of troops and pop centers the enemy held. Especially useful if
you have a neutral in your pocket and you can get an idea of the overall
leaders in the game (as newts show VP leaders whether they be FP or DS). I
look at them some myself . . . if the three leaders on your side are under
1000 VP's, you're probably not doing too well (in my experience).
I'm betting this is what your article will touch on and I look forward to
it.
