Thinking of chartering a Concorde for your customers across the pond?

I can't believe they have one crash in twenty years and the entire fleet is
labelled unsafe and can't be flown. A piece of crap from another plane goes
into a tyre, it goes 'boom' (sort of like the types made in the US), some of
this junk goes upwards, smashed into the engine and fuel tanks, and we have
a engine on fire. The pilot works out that they can't abort the takeoff, and
they lose the plane and all the crew. Accidents happens, even for the rich.
But around the same time we had all these other planes hit the water and no
one seems to mind. The US recently come out with the results of one crash a
few years ago, and said 'vapours in the empty centre fuel tank got alight,
but they don't know why the vapours caught alight. This was the crash into
the sea where one theory was that a SAM got it, and the computer demos were
saying that the body of the fly seperated from the cockpit. I seem to
rememember that they recommend cutting back on live electrical wires that go
thru fuel tanks, or pumping in another type of vapour to reduce fire (like
the military planes do). This sounds like a more serious design fault, but
no one is grounding this type of plane.
methinks concorde has some powerful enemies, and they were waiting 20 years
to strike back.

Michael:
That made for some very entertaining reading. Many thanks. You've just
(lengthily) endorsed the school of thought that says, "Just 'cause you're
paranoid, doesn't mean somebody's not follwin' ya."
Good to know us paranoids aren't alone. (I _knew_ it!) :):)
