Not the case. I think you have mis-read me. At present all
games will be
rated, you have the option as a player of not having your
rating published.

It'll be interesting to see how that affects future games. Will
a player who doesn't wish to be rated end up being viewed
with suspicion in subsequent games...?

It'll probably mean a few questions like "what's your record," but I doubt any suspicion.

Well, yes I suppose. One of the reasons a PRS will be good is that it will allow balanced games to be set up, and it will allow people to seek to recruit experienced players for new "grudge teams". If I was recruiting for such a team, I wouldn't be approaching someone who had chosen not to be rated.

I'd much prefer a low rated team mate than an unrated one.
