Why are my troops so hungry? Suck it up!

Hi all, glad the forums are back

So one problem that has led to some dumb newbie mistakes (by me) so far is figuring out how I can feed my ungrateful troops before they let me send them to their deaths in the mountains. I mean, I already gave them tree branches for weapons and no armor, and now they want food? Pathetic.

Anyway, I have an army sitting in a PC next to a mountain. The army has zero food and is unfed, but the PC has plenty of food to feed the army in its stores. My question is: Can I turn this situation into a march into the mountains on this turn? If I 340-TrPo2Ar and then move the army into the mountain, will that succeed? Or do I need to wait a turn and let my ungrateful orcish slobs eat their maggoty bread, then move into the mountain next turn?

Thanks
Michael

You can TrPo2Ar and MovArmy in the same turn. Remember to have 1 extra food for it to work. 1000 HI needs 1001 food to be fed.

If the army is small enough for the PC to feed (check the da rules) then the army will fed for movement without a TrPo2Ar order and you can go up into the mountain.

When you say your army is unfed, is that JOverseer telling you that.

You can toggle fed/unfed status on the army if you think it will be fed by the PC.

It needs at least 1 food in it’s baggage train to move as “fed”. So if the PC will feed it, it won’t move “fed” with 0 food. Always leave food at 3426 to 770 1 food armies to move “fed”, for example…

Brad

true there must be an actual food, at least one sandwich, to move fed.

So, if the PC will actually feed the army, 315 for 1 food, and force march off fed!

Thanks all!
