Win Conditions Changing?!

I'll look into that - the problem that I see with the Individual winners

What

do others think? From what I can see when this came up before players

The more Harlequin can do to eliminate individual victory conditions, or
at least make them consistent with team play, the better. When I get
personally rewarded for attacking my allies (as several of my victory
conditions say), that's never good.

I agree with Jason that having to attack your allies for VP is a Bad Thing.
If
you can't change the code that randomly sets VC, though, that would mean
manually confirming VC targets only apply to enemies. That would suck up
a lot of time. Note also that GWC (not that I've ever gotten one) only go
to the
top player on the winning TEAM. If your side doesn't win, you don't win. I
haven't found it to promote solo play. On the other hand, I'd find it VERY
easy
to believe that UK players are more communicative. Many I've played with
seem put out by having to send an email out every turn(!) to let us know how
they're doing. And forget about coordinating attacks and forming companies.

Yank Question:
Okay, okay, I know a lorry is a truck and a bobby is a policeman. What's
kipping?

RD: Yes, we do have VC/VP. But the guys I usually team up with ignore them
in favour of winning as a team.

If you read Tolkien's works there is plenty of scope for allies fighting
amongst themselves, both DS and FP. But we find that TEAM play, ignoring
any such VC/VP, gives a better chance of winning the game. The minute two
allies fall out over VC/VP, communication and co-operation go out of the
window, lessening their chances of winning as a team and thus also lessening
the chances of one of them becoming the individual winner.

RD: kipping is sleeping. Not necessarily a deep overnight sleep, it can
also mean a short sleep/doze/nap/siesta of an hour or so, or even just a few
minutes.
