World Champs/proposal...

Well if it was my call to say that a team is beaten I could do that.

I know there are some die hards on at least one of the UK team - depends on
the players here really.

My worry (if we bring in rules around getting points for surrendering), is
that a side could surrender when it has many players so as to get max points
for the WC, and not because it can't win.

I don't want a good game wasted just to score browie points in some system
that I'm really not interesting in. I'm far more impressed with just
swapping side with the other team.

So in game G34 the free (could) be saying 'We are doomed to lose this one.
DOOMED. Too many dragons. Too many agents. Too many curse squads. Doomed I
tell you. DOOMED'

But then we swap sides are they (hopefully will) be DS and saying 'We are
doomed to lose this one. DOOMED. No one has any money, and our natsells
don't work. All the camps in the mountains are free owned. And we don't have
the money to afford new agents. Too many free armies, too many free agents.
Doomed I tell you. DOOMED'.

God I hope no free is on my side on the WoTR. I would hate to think i've
made even more enemies

But I'm looking forward to a reverse match regardless of G34.

thanks

I think you'd still get points for winning

What I'm trying to do is factor in an incentive to move on to the
next game - sure this could be abused, but I see the sbuse as coming
from a team in the last round having won a bunch of games and having
a points lead...

Nevertheless, the scoring as is is bad for ending a game early...
some of you are winning as DS - this system means you'll either need
the one ring or have to find every last hidden noldo MT...
Because of the scoring system they will not drop even if it's 11 DS
to one freep...

Now I've heard something famous that starts with beaches and landing
grounds and goes on to never surrender, but this is a game.

I would not want to implement this aspect - maybe half points?
