Once I get the first twenty five players there are several choices.
1) Randomly allocate - as it is quite a new game I am happy
to do that.
2) Points allocation - with preferences
3) Normal allocation.Any preference?

A 4th option would be to allow Richard who designed the
scenario to choose
his own nation first and then invite 9 players who have asked
to join the
game to join his side as he will know a fair number of the
players. As he
has put in the hard work he should have first refusal.
nah. I'm worried about winning as the DS (I'm played free, neutral and dark
in normal 2950 games and playing dark was the hardest - it was only the
neutrals that allowed us to get the advantage). I think startup should be
random.
But I'm fine with richard getting to pick his nation (he does need a thank
you for all his work).
I think some nation (or nations) are going to see a whole lot more enemy
troops (due to all the new and improved pop centres out there). If I have to
play another stomped on nation (I suggest playing a DS harad in grudge games
when SG come in on t1 to understand the feeling), then I would feel better
if I got the nation due to luck, and not since someone else got all the
other nations.
