Yahoo groups

I've found that this is intermittent. Googlegroups does something similar I think. Anyone out there have a suggestion?

Clint

Do you all have any suggestions on how to share files using a service that is NOT yahoo groups? Their service has pretty much fallen apart and we are looking for something else.

Hey!

Dropbox and a Gmail mailing list have worked great. Dropbox is rarely offline and the interface for copying and sharing files is much easier than Yahoo’s.

I’ve also used Facebook for one game and it was horrible. The whole team wasn’t on Facebook in the first place and sharing files was even more painful than with Yahoogroups. I played a neutral nation and if I’d known what Facebook was like for this, I’d have stayed neutral or gone to the other side.

How would you use Dropbox? I guess share a folder with all your allies in game eg Game 001 shared. Takes a bit more technical savvy to do this. Anyone up for writing a quick guide.

I've used Gmail for other stuff, sharing docs and the like for shared editing mostly. Anyone done a Gmail/googlegroupsgroup like this?

Clint

personally hate using Dropbox…there are a few occasions when Yahoo has glitches and to get around that when it happens, instead of people uploading files into file folder, they just attach with email in group site. And that works just fine.
