I’d really like to take up your challenge, Scott, but running the whole DS side just isn’t in my budget given the slate of games I’ve got already.
I’d certainly be up for playing against you as part of a team, though, if enough other players are interested…

Come one, come all. Let’s see, Chris C has beaten up on me, the team of Chris G has beaten up on me, and James Knight has had his licks, all as DS, all in 1650. So, come on, want to try that new strategy but don’t want someone hopping too quickly on a mistake? Well, here’s you shot, try it on me, chances are I won’t even know your beating me till I look up and there is no free left.

At the moment I don’t have the time to play all 12 DS nations, but like Keith already mentioned there might be some more players interested in this game.
I would play one or two of the DS and I would like to lead them.

lol Scott, I’d love to repeat the kicking I’m sure I would have dolled out had our game continued! alas, I’ve just started a game with Clint - who will also undoubtedly get a sound thrashing! - so my budget can’t stretch to another 1v1 
I tell you what, a 1v1 is so much easier after you’ve done the groundwork - different spreadsheets, opening moves and counters, etc. Just a shame I won’t be doing any buyouts as the Free, after all I learnt before! :eek: now I just have to learn how to direct naval movement!

p.s. you’ve gotta love my false bravado - I’m dying with the anticipation of my next turn (this Friday) - where I find out that I have recuited 6 dragons, found the ring of wind and bought out steel - all on turn 1! Just a shame I’m the Freeps :rolleyes:

Actually Gixxxer it takes more time to play on a team than it does to play by yourself. All the email everyday, going over all the turns, it takes me a couple hours every day.
Where as when I play the whole side it only takes me about an hour on the day it arrives to enter information on the spreadsheets (I’ve got spreadsheets for everything, companies, 5 turn finances, artifacts…) and then about 4 hours on either Saturday or Sunday to do the orders and to send them in.
Right now, too busy to devote the time needed to be a good team member:(

not sure whether we’ve met. I’ve only been playing ME for 2 years - but a lot of it!!! And I think I can safely say Gerhard, Anja and I are good old friends :)). My problem is: I’d love to play you, but I’m in quite a lot of games right now and a holiday is approaching. So I’d need to postphone it a little bit. Or maybe Gerhard could team up with me against you?
