I am impressed at the number of troops we have at 2924 though. I reckon we could do Minas Arnor and Khazad Dum and Fornost Erain on consecutive turns if only they were side by side… sigh

Ha ha… the poor support? Wow, even though the Free are notoriously known for playing their own game, poor support is not the word to be used. The support was good, great, as a matter of fact, but sometimes things just don’t go the way we want them to. As for knowing where i live, well… peek-a-boo.:eek: and if i recall… the Freep armies have come to play with your orcses… and the end result…

as for the lickin of the wounds, well, I must say your not the only one:o the whole map has changed in the first 15 turns, and getting pretty confusing:fork: i’d say be done with it, but i’m having WAY too much fun:cool:
Mordor is quiet because there isn’t a Freep army within a month’s travel of there.
North Gondor on the other hand is fairly kicking.
And Harad - well its hotting up now - Harad’s attacking armies vanquished by the little Quiet Avenger and now the counter-attack begins!

The market still crashed beyond belief, but with another DS buyout successfully completed. We are okay for another turn.

South Gondor is hanging on, plenty of troops left to throw at you. I can’t quite put my finger on where the game got away from us, though, as we were doing rather well in the first ten turns.
I guess the turning point in the battle in the south was when North Gondor and I failed to break through 3224. If we had managed to pick up a victory there it would have been a whole different ball game.
Things didn’t go to plan in the north with the Dragon Lord and Witch King hanging in against all odds.
I have a feeling that the fat lady maybe singing soon but I’ve quite enjoyed the game, even if it didn’t pan out the way I was thinking it would originally.

It’s always interesting to see other opinions… I don’t think there has been a point where we thought we were in danger of not winning… but you can always be optimistic when you aren’t sure what the other team is doing…

Ever play chess? Good ones know they are beat before they have lost everything but a couple of pawns and the king…
that said we haven’t come to consensus yet but anticipate something in the next couple of days.
As was typed earlier, opinions vary and I’ll keep my mouth shut for a minute while I mull this over…was an interesting game though…my nephew definitely learned a lot and is itching for his 2nd game of all time…love that kid.
I am bowing out of the allianced positions for awhile, while I concentrate on my PHD in Educational Leadership…i’ll be playing neutrals mostly since they largely are on their own for the first couple of months most of the time…or I’ll play gunboat again…
either way, no matter what, it was fun crossing swords w/ you all…
