Game 062

Hello Jacob.

It wasn’t a Pearl Harbour more like “Sink the Belgrano” which incidently was a reconditioned ship the Argentines bought from the US Navy that had been bombed at Pearl Harbour.
Bit of a history lesson there folks.

Cheers Adrian.

Nice to see you gloating about the fact that you are a downright liar.

Hey guys… take it easy. Adrian is a straight and honest guy. The fault is all mine: we have been whispering Sauron’s sermons into his ears for the last few weeks.

Personally I think you should be a bit more introspective: isnt it time that you explained to the people of Osgiliath why you have abandoned them to their fate?

“Sorry about moving to Dilgul it was an error on my movement orders” lol! Doesn’t seem straight or honest to me mate.

Anyway, unless I’m very much mistaken, Osgiliath is still under NG control with no sizeable DS force anywhere near it. IK army is gone, along with Lamthanc, Eothraim sitting on the IK town unopposed, FK resorting to recruit at his camps in a desparate attempt to plug the gap - I even still own Minas Ithil - not bad for Turn 7. WK is about to be kicked out of Angmar.

Anyway, considering the inroads that you’ve made around Rhun and that we screwed up at DG I’d say that things are still pretty even.

Well, of course I’m desperately plugging the gap. Isn’t that what always happens? Looks like it’s working, too. Expect to see more eyeballs coming your way.:smiley:

[Oh…but I’m not actually recruiting at any camps or other locations…yet. It’s all just done with mirrors.]

Oops! Oversight on my part. We’ll fix that, then.

All the best,

Ren, your friendly Nazgul neighbor.:hug::stab:

I thought we were playing ME, not “Battleship?”

(one of my all-time favorite games, though).

Welcome aboard the Sauron Express, Brother Adrian.

Ren, the land-locked

So… technically, Pearl Harbor isn’t strong enough for you???
Holy crap, maybe we should go into another subject… hmmm… how about D-Day? Work well enough for ya?
Maybe this will help…:stab:… that just about sums it up from my stand point. Oh well, just another target for the Mighty Free people, who don’t have to listen to an EYE for instructions,:fork:, nor have to be smelly, or Unclean…

Oh yeah, wnd don’t forget about the punishing your commander and making him clean the stables.
Right now, it looks as if Uvatha is doing one of two things.
1.) Pushing Daisies
2.) Fertilizing the ground just outside of Shrel-Kain.

You clearly haven’t been hanging around the dwarves.

Hi All.

I was just going for a Victory Condition, that came my way. I couldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
Pearl Harbour? No we had been fighting the war since '39, then the septics came along. D-Day / Op OVERLORD, no last turn was perhaps upon the results Barbarossa.
I don’t know what Uvatha is doing he’s LR!!! Ovatha II is dead so what.

Cheers Adrian.

Didn’t you need #95 as a victory condition as well? Send somebody over for it and I’ll shove it where the sun doesn’t shine.

You FP seem to get all nasty when a neutral uses his first strike advantage against you.

Didn’t see any of you mention anything to Rhu about stringing me along with his “I haven’t chosen sides yet” blurb… Oh and if you are reading, I am NOT calling Rhu a liar. Yes, he announced his intentions last turn, but to me that’s just plain silly… should have declared by landing on my pop centres.

It’s part of the game people… neutrals are neutral until they aren’t… it’s not rocket science, it’s part of the game… in fact it’s part of the game that adds a bit of spice and randomness to the proceedings.

I did ask much earlier what you guys thought would be the neutral split, and I couldn’t help but feel you thought that at least 3 of the neutrals were going FP… well, did you count Eas as 1 of them??? or were you hoping for 4? what about the others… we now have 1 each… are you all comfortable with your neutral negotiations… will there be more liars waiting to be called…

Let’s get this thread back on track…

Where are my favourite Nor hiding… You must surely be gone by now… leaving me to gloat that I’m still hanging in. Did you like my attack on Rhu  no-one told me he had a massive… and I mean absolutely massive army where I went!!! well, I knew actually… but it had to be done…

what… can you hear that… dddd…dddd…ddddd… what is it… ddddRAAAAAGON!!! God I hope they’re not all still eating Gondorians. I’ll have to have a word with my lesser brethren about the pecking order in this here Nazgul’s army.

Regards

Michael

You are in control of Osgiliath the same way that Bush is in control of what he says.

Yeah, you could say that. By the way is Esgaroth now part of Rhun?

Wow! What banter, braggadacio, taunts and smirks!

munches popcorn

The Corsairs may just stay neutral so they can watch the new soap opera “As Middle Earth Turns”!

What’s that Angamaite? Teldumeir? You guys are heated to join in the fray? Patience, my pets. We still have yet to figure out which side is more helpful and less smug!

FP messengers are a little frantic, but, boys, c’mon: there is still a healthy amount of gaming left.

DS messengers are a little more boastful and confident, but owning Rhun and not winning Minas Ithil (with the possibility of losing the NW) isn’t par for course.

And the Corsairs???!!!??? Being numero uno in VPs only means that we are still bumbling around trying to make profound and wise decisions.:frowning:

Not at all, although it is disappointing to be so blatantly lied to. What would concern me is the poor advice to a new player by the DS team. He has his card very clearly marked now for future games of ME-PBM. Still, why let that get in the way of getting an advantage over your enemy eh?

Prove the lie. I’ve written “I like some of the FP characters” and then gone DS only to be accused of lying… If the player said “I’ll be joining your team” and didn’t, he lied. 95+% of these accusations are based on assumptions, making the “liar” right and the accuser “wrong”. Be clear before marking cards…

Signed,

a frequent neutral who prefers individuals accept some responsiblity before casting blame and aspersions on others because, well, we’re all in some different games now, aren’t we…

OVATHA!!! Sheesh, sorry the Editor’s for the newspaper “Northmen Weekly (possibly every two weeks”) didn’t catch the error… maybe he’ll be cleaning the Easterling stables along with Nazrog soon?:stuck_out_tongue:
Oh yeah, and Uvatha will soon be with Ovatha… making the fields of Rhun bustle with flowers a-many.:fork:

Oh yeah, and just so you know… the termination of Gaerandil? How funny. So funny in fact… i forgot to laugh…:bash:

Actually, i still have the emails he sent me about the ‘wrong orders’
I’m sure that he chose what side when the Eoth. landed on his town to block further DS movement into Rhun.

If you’re talking about Eas, to be clear, you’re just plain wrong, on both counts. Not new player. Not DS advice. For someone who’s not getting nasty about a basic part of the game, you’re doing a good job at pretending.

Now that did bring a smile to my face!

So… let me get this right… You’ve blown both the bridges, the only PCs that I’ve lost in the whole game so far are 3026 and the eastern town along the 16 row (can’t remember the exact hex) and I’ve somehow lost “control” of Osgiliath… Please take care of Telumehtar by the way (he would like to share a cell with Vagaig if possible)!

Esgaroth is on the river that runs west out of Rhun isn’t it… (well I had to come back with something there didn’t I)!
