Game 16 Begins!

Camlin! I have this interesting book of geneology that details how YOUR family told MY family that Fanuilond wasn’t big enough for the two of us. My family created an empire in the south and I HAVE returned to reclaim my birthright. You’ve done nothing in that time. The True Born have come home. Meet my dog, Adumir. He likes water.

Mireador

As a Nazgul and former noble, I am outraged at the indignity of true King’s plight. The nation of the Quiet Avenger pledges to support Mireador’s claim to the throne. It is the dusk of your false lineage, Gondor, the south son is rising again.
Adunaphel

Adumir and the rest best like water as they will sure be seeing alot of it this turn. From the bottom up. Than one small fleet and the pirate will be land locked.
Birthright my #^%$@. You fear the Harad and become his lapdog. Please , Please Ossum don’t attack , let’s be friends. You’ll need more than a few smelly,rat-infested ships to do damage here sonny. Go join Harad where he can protect you.
The QA, well you never were and never will be of any consequence.
Belechael

 Oh please Belchall…stuff your desperate justifications back up your gaping whine-hole and shove off - we’re not your strictly controlled war-time press here. The corruption and arrogance of your “free” syndicate are reaping their harvest. Many shall die in the coming months, none so proudly or fondly remembered as Adumir’s courageous sacrifice to the cause.

Mankind shall be rid of their Elven overlords soon enough, and in the histories written by the Victors, the names Belechael, Camlin, et al, shall be cited as pompous fools whose decadence and selfishness caused the ruination of hope and greatness until the Kin reclaimed for Man their natural overlordship of all things. I think I’ll start the first book myself…I’ll call it “The Return of the Kings”.

Angamaite

Angamaite seems to lead from the rear. Celdrahil , Belechael, Dunsul, and Camlin lead men into battle. And where is this great and noble Angamaite to be found. Leading from the armchair I suppose. Maybe cowering in Harads pipeweed house.
Come face dragons and assains, than write your book. In the meantime courtsey to the eyeball your new master. For there is only one king with him and you ain’t it. Bring your foul ships. They make nice fishing reefs.
We never counted on any of the 3 southern newts as we saw no no one willing to tough it out and figured you would go the easy way. Kings make the tough choices , fools the easy road they pursue. Maybe that book should be an autobiagraphy named the “Book of Fools”.
Belechael Jr.

The eyeball is irrelevant, but a tool. Let the foul beings dance and coo, we’ll deal with them in short order. Our birthright is at stake. We shall take what was taken, then we shall take the rest.

Angamaite

ps - hew, maybe if you tried the pipeweed we’d have a much easier time getting along… Let your repressed morality be your downfall.

Hmmm, I must plead with the Corsairs and Harad to leave some for my knives. They are sharp and true and cannot lie, they should not be left unquenched.

Simon.

Simon,

maybe it is a FP thing to die as a commander, either by assassination, challenge or losing combat.
I gladly prefer the DS way of leading from the back, having my troups trampled and surviving to fight another day.
But as I say maybe dying glorously is a FP thing to do.

Cheers,

Martin

In honor of the latest movie with mass battles, awesome epic theming, and Orlando Bloom:

Book XVI-
THUS did they fight about the pass of Ithil. Then Celdrahil drew near to Baldrog with tears welling in his eyes, as from some lightless pool whose underground banks froth fish and deathless things. When Baldrog saw him thus weeping like some silly child he said, "Why, Celdrahil, do you stand there weeping likesome silly child that comes running to her mother, and begs to be taken up and carried-she catches hold of her mother’s dress to stay her though she is in a hurry, and looks tearfully up until her mother carrier her- even such tears, Celdrahil, are you now shedding. Have you anything to say to these orcs or to myself? or have you news from Pelagir which you alone know?
Then, O knight Celdrahil, with a deep sigh answered, “Baldrog, thing of Sauron, foremost servant of Hoarmurath, do not be angry, but I weep for the disaster that has now befallen Gondor. All those who have been their champions so far lying in the ashen sands, wounded by sword or spear. Brave Belechael has been slain by an assassin and famed Gondor lies under attack. I am torn- as a coney caught by two she-wolves, ripped three times into gory pieces and greedily swallowed - so is my heart by grief and hatred! Dusky heroes and jealous sea-riders trample my fields, but I can never leave this place until this cursed valley is filled with death.”
Baldrog stood forward and drew his sword like the moon is drawn from beyond the void. Moved, Baldrog spoke, “Such brave words and great deeds have led you here but given you no rest from the will of elves. Go back home to moisten your ancestral dirt with blood.” Like a bolt from the heavens the sword of mighty Baldrog lashed out and cut through first the gristled chin, then gnashing teeth, and strong nose of Celdrahil scattering the life and strength of Gondor to feed sharp rocks and hungry crows.

Um, yeah…what he said…

Dude, the Illiad is the coolest_book_ever,

Troy is therefore good.

Achilles = Brad Pitt = Baldrog see the ressemblence?

Patroclus = Celdrahil = someone not nearly as cool

In conclusion, I know where I will be Friday night.

We also know where Celdrahil will be on Friday night I guess, oh yes and every other night for that matter!

Simon.

The usual bathhouse, no doubt. :stuck_out_tongue:

-The Bad Northman of Northmanland

PS By the way, you may want to read the whole book through. Achilles has a troublesome spot ere the end.

Well I did read the whole book, so maybe Archiles took a bite in the dirt, but still do you remember who won the Troy war?

And now please push our horse into the citadel of Minas Anor.

Cheers,

Martin

This might work out better for ya!

Angamaite the Ignored

Thats cold, man. Real cold.

Well, I could tell them the truth, that Cardolan gave me $20 in my account to get Harad to conquer NG so he can take a couple pops he has VC’s for and the Northmen will finally be forced to ship some product whlie SG will now have to demand naval help instead of making Arthedain name mages so Cardolan can blame the Noldo for their fleet being disbanded turns ago while he trains up by threatening safe Rhudaur pops so the entire game is up to the Sinda mages and he can win a bet with the Easterlings over which player drops first.

Or, you can just realize that the company offers variant games for all types of players, some are better suited to here, others there, yet others find Gunboat a sanctuary.
