Game 2, POWER Game

NG,

Shall we dance?

Bob- FK

Oh great stuttering DS!

Hey Bob of the FK,

We will do more than dance bub. Bring on the pain. Nice move throwing the Ice King north into Rhovanion. That kind of leaves you stuck for help though. We will have to see how this fight goes.

We Free Peoples are trying to have our orders in by this Friday Nov 11. If others want to try the same so we can get another turn rolling.

Cheers-Noldo

Just curious if anyone ever got the EA player’s email address to work.

EA, I have tried to contact you 4 times, and have received various error messages both times. The FP, and me in particular, would like to talk to you. Can you post a valid email address?

EO

The Mouth Of the Mouth Of Sauron has been unable to reach the Easterlings also. Many attempts have been made.

Scavenger,
The Mouth of the Mouth of Sauron

Just a suggestion, but maybe you should shoot for having a turn in by midnight thursday so that we stand a chance of getting another turn on friday…

Corsairs

Well it’s now saturday and No turns came in on Friday so i guess FP didn’t get them all in on time, or maybe the neutrals messed up?

The nation of Rhudaur has been seduced by Lord Sauron to join the fight against the Elves, whom apparently (according to an anonymous tip) was planning on secretly marching out of Imaldris to the lands of Rhudaur to attack! Folly! It will be war

We of the DS welcome our new brothers in arms. The mighty Rhudaur nation will strive with us to remove these meddlesome Elves, Dwarves and Men. Well we would strive a lot quicker if those dragging their feet would get their act together!!! Come on peoples can we try for a 3-4 day turn around next time.

Regards Herman (Ice Ice Baby)

Seriously, we’re ruining the possibility of this version of game actually working, and saving us all money!

No kidding. It appears one (or more) of the FP scum just don’t “get” the point of the PoWeR format. I wish we knew which one(s) - that way we could eliminate them quickly and save everyone a lot of pain and money…

My bad, as I was again designated to submit the DW shadow orders, but I did not realize that until Monday.

Apologies to all. If you ever make it to my middle of nowhere, USA, I will buy you a pint.

Turn 3 POWER EO and shadowed DW turns going to HQ NLT 0800CST TH.

I admire you standing up for it. Cheers

Northwest is getting interesting fast. Arthy on the WK, WK in the Arthy front door, battles to occur, Rhu on Imaldris. Almsot as interesting as Mirkwood.

Hey Elrond, got a 12 foot long spear for you. You like wood, right? I know your Sinda cousins don’t like fire …

So, I have a question regarding the financing/cost of this game.

The cost advertised for this game is $US 3.00 + $0.50/day (up to 7) per turn.

Yet it appears that we were charged a standard setup ($US 12.90), and the first 2 turns are “free” in that standard setup. Did we gain any economic/cost advantage for quick turn turn-around on the first 2 turns? Or does the economic/cost advantage for quick turn submission only begin on turn 3?

There’s probably a clarification needed on this point. And, if there was really no economic/cost advantage to early turn submission on turns 1 & 2, that would help explain why some people felt no hurry (maybe they understood that to be the case. I know I didn’t. In fact I continue to hope that there was cost advantage for early submission of turns 1 & 2…)

Clint?

cheers,
Dave

It depends on when the LAST turn gets in. So when the DW orders dont get in until the deadline, there is no savings for all of us. If all the turns are in 4 days early, we all benefit.

Hmmm a free beer, will have to look at my travel plans!!!

Turn 3 only, - that’s what was advertised. Note we didn’t charge you the variant charge though so you’ve got a cheaper start-up than we’d normally do. As it is I think we’re charging too little - I got my figures slightly wrong but heh we’ll stick with it for this game…
