the one thing I am willing to give you credit for is the successful market manipulation that allowes you to field armies you normally could not afford. But apart from that you have not achieved anything outstanding so far, really. Let us have a look at the setup facts. Where is the “gigantic recruiting base edge” of the gondors you have spoken of? A look on the map tells me that, within two turns movement of Osgiliath, the DS can recruit a 4300 troops per turn with commanding resources of six nations, not including the corsairs. the gondors can at best hire 3600 troops in that region. That is some simple maths for you. Still you have not captured a major gondorian pop center, so who has missed objectives?
As for the Northmen, it is the DS job to eliminate them from Rhun as it is the job of the FP to get rid of 2006 and 2715, so no surprises here.
If you think you can win the military game, go on and try. If it comes to the other aspects of the game, I think you will find us better prepared…
Fair enough, we’ll see. When we were running the free in this scenario the servants were fighting to hold 3124 at this stage; you have armies swarming on the other side. I honestly can’t see how this can be anything but a big achievement for the dark side. As far as the shadow war goes…too early to tell. It could be interesting.
I suggest you curb Kizer; he’s an embarrasment to your team with his childish behavior here. When he can control himself the grownups might answer him.
Good grief man its a game man lighten for goodness sake.
As for grown ups answering me i dont recall asking for any answers.
Also as i recall i started this thread so if you dont like it dont be here
its that simple.

Personallly, I think the Freeps are doing a splendid job. Admit it - every turn we review results and try to discern a pattern in the Freeps actions, and we never can see one. Icons moving hither and yon, neighbors apparently working at cross purposes, other allies abandoned to a cruel fate - it’s all too hard to fathom. Come to the end of the two week cycle, we try to come up with a plan to thwart our opponents machinations, and we’re completely stymied. You know as well as I do - and as our esteemed opposition can no doubt discern - we’re forced to cobble something together at the last minute.
Frankly, I for one am totally intimidated by going up against such a gestalt intelligence that can disrupt our planning so effortlessly. I can only hope that we’ve pushed the frontlines so far away that we have some room to maneuver when that Freep counterpunch lands…
And Freeps, for the sake of the little orclings and goblinettes, go easy on us.
Do you really think we should be boasting at this point? Do you want to see a repeat of #234 - I think not.
Personally, I think the Freeps are doing splendid. Let’s face it, every turn when we compare pdfs and analyze the Freeps actions, we are totally stymied. Icons moving hither and yon (or nor moving at all), troop counts that vary widely from expectation, positions apparently abandoned to their fate - well it’s all so darn confusing. And admit it, we get so lost in analysis that the two weeks fly by, and we’re forced to cobble something together at the last minute. It’s a wonder we’ve been able to make any progress at all.
I for one greatly fear what the deep machinations of the Freep gestalt have in store for us. I can only hope that we have pushed the frontlines far enough away from Mordor so that we have room to maneuver when their counterpunch lands.
No, no, what I posted wasn’t irony; it was indeed the truth. Irony would be threatening the DS with assassins armed with agent artifacts, and then having them stolen away (like at 3507)
dear freeps,
my 3 year old was eating candy, so i took it from her. hence the inspiration for this message. please, retire from play. we are approaching the silly stage of this game, where we all waste our money determining which pincer makes 2508 first. the one from the olde eoplex, or the spear head via southern mirkwood. who takes dunland, the hammer rolling up the olde gap road, or the gang about to finish off everything on the east side on the anduin. commenting on the fate of the gondors is pointless, they are done. theres more bad guys in s gondor then freeps, and more evils on the west side of the anduin, then east.
sometimes, you get the bear. this time, the bear got you. lets move on.
The Dark Lieutenants are certainly enjoying their new palatial accomodations on the west bank of the Anduin, and rolling in gold as a result. We may even try and buy some elven jewelry – I understand some of it went missing up in Mirkwood?
wheres the “challenged by few, rivaled by none” guy. these guys have heart, but that clearly ain’t enough. while not based in reality, he had a decent rap. or is he choking on a sword point?
Well Amigo
Its like this, When someone has a sense of humour failure and accuses you of childish behaviour and of becoming an embarassment to his team, it sort of takes the fun out of it so hence i havent and wont bother from now on, which is a shame because im enjoying this game and i enjoy haveing fun on here but sadly it seems you have a few stiff superior old cronies in your ranks, must be a barrel of laughs in your team.
Anways good luck for the future and rest assured we fight to the bitter end.
Terry NM
a barrel of laughs, not at all.
the only guys who enjoy such a onesided victory are those who enjoy picking on the defenseless. we have broken this game open, and in the next turn or three, it will become a rout. i hope at that point, your side will see the silliness of continued play, and retire with honor from play.
losing a well played game is more entertaining then winning a walk through game. its probably the great problem facing harly. matching teams of equal skill, so the games are evenly fought(everybody fights hard). never mind early drops, skilled opposition is the hardest thing to find. its not arrogance. not all players enjoy the same degree of experience (or skill such vast experience provides) in playing this game. the amount of firepower we can currently throw at you guys in this game is staggering, even to our jaded eyes. hence my hope for a resolution to this game, in short order.
mr b. miller, the drugs i’m taking are the ones removed from all the freep pop centers we have taken. we are slaughtering you guys. read a map, look at army sizes and composition, the flow of the game. we move, you react. we attack, you die. call it a day man, its over.
true, we do not have that much to brag. winning some character victories and removing 5000 DS troops by killing their commanders still does not meet our own demands. but we are trying to get better…
Dear Mr. Muller,
as long as your playing skill does not match your arrogance, posts like your last one are pathetic…
uvatha finished typing his last few lines of smack,
and dagasponde(sic) killed him, after injuring linde. now thats a NICE respone. a nice counter punch, flush to the olde jaw. i’ll miss him, and his artifacts, very much. well done. killing steelhand wasn’t nearly enough of a return on the uvatha investment.
