Game 27 - The Ride Begins

They didn’t ask where his underwear went right?

Just asking. No particular reason.

Son of Deathwalker looking to retrieve the agent arties that were unceremoniously removed from his pops – would Lugdork like to meet somewhere to discuss?

Ji Indur

I am glad to see the DS are back in the bbs game - dare I say it seems that you guys haven’t given up in general. Nothing picks up spirits like a dragon! Way better team mascot than our Groin was. Are guys really gonna fight it out? I can try to ramp up the torrent of trashtalk if so. Maybe the QA has found new resolve during his adventures in the SG hinterland?

New resolve? Naw- same old resolve… just got the compass point thingee worked out! East is the “E” and everything else is just plain bad…

I was expecting more camps out here to torch too… Very disappointing. I’m heading east to lodge a complaint! Where’s the customer service people?

Macman- QA

Thats what everyone is saying these days, East is the new West!

No wonder we have such a problem keeping the Gondor weapons pointing in the correct direction.

That’s what you humans get for having invented “Marketing Divisions”.

This game is becoming one-sided. How would the DS feel about a concession?

Saruman

FP Nations -

If superiority in artifacts, characters, armies, and economy is considered “one-sided,” then perhaps we should ask whether the undeclared neutrals will tip the scales back into balance?

With the unrepenting WW and sneaky RE going Free, the DS again offer the undeclared neutrals a chance to make this game meaningful. Each of the undeclared neutrals have enjoyed 11 turns of uninihibited nation building. The DS would welcome each of you into our fold…

Obviously, diplomacy is not one of my strong points (but I am learning how to grovel). Perhaps the FP would send an army/navy to attack your nations to help the DS? Nothing like a good ole’ undeclared neutral bashing to send them to the other side…

Respectfully,

Dog Lord

Saruman -

As for a concession - love the new hot dog stand, though you need to check the expiration date on the mustard, ohh and the orcs perfer elven blood in lieu of ketchup. By the way, you really upset our wargs now that you replaced the RC-Cola (preferred soda of neutrals) with Coca-Cola (capitalistic swine juice). The Nazgul are now stockpiling Pepsi Cola (Sauron’s personal choice) in preparation of the march to burn your capital.

Sincerely,

DS Nations

I know that the banter is fun, but, on a serious note, don’t protract this game if it does not need to be. The offer for a concession stands.

Saruman

On a serious note - the FP have yet to eliminate a DS nation and you want us call it quits? Our team is a cohesive force…

Perhaps, you are concerned that your team does not have the stamina for a protracted game?

Your offer is still rejected.

Your team is a cohesive force?

Hmm.

Okay.

You must have a real doozie of a surprise for us…somewhere. Guess we’ll wait and see what and where that is.

HARGROG OF OUR ARRIVAL AT ORDUGA HARMAL. REGARDS, THORIN II.

P.S. IF WE KILL HARGROG, PLEASE ADVISE NEW DELIVERY LOCATION.

Okay, okay… time to eat crow… it appears the FP have gotten the best of us. I think a number of us are dropping now.

Good game - despite the rhetoric.

Thank you for giving us the heads up before turns run… it will save us a collective approx. $200 US! Can you confirm that everyone is going to drop?

Thanks!

Saruman

Chris, I’d like to maintain contact with you after this game ends.

If it please you, contact me via E-Mail; skmme is the main part and bhmk is
the part that comes after the at-sign and it’s a dot com address.

Thanks.

Guys, if this is the end, its been fun - there were definitely hairier moments. I will refrain from meaningfully revealing commentary about the game until after I see my turn

cj - NG and SG

You DS sure did try to put me out… how many hundreds of characters did you have in my capital for the last three turns?

You even resorted to having the Duns “backstab” me, not that it wasn’t obvious for many turns… the failed trap for Saruman enumerated it nicely, and I must say it was nice of you folks to just give me the Cloak of the Abyss and the Cloak of the Heavens… It is almost a pitty that the game ended so… the Rangers had 3500 troops with Ents and war machines on the Dun capital…

Saruman

Wouldn’t that be the “Done Capital”?

I forgot about Hargrog’s Flail, darnit. It was therefore a nearly evenly-ranked Challenge from Fili. Bummer. I expected the LR player to RfsPers anyway, given that BALIN was the Army Commander. But I foolishly expected a higher Challenge Rating differential with my C54 Fili.

Sigh.

But then, kudos to Hargrog. First Hargrog was greviously wounded in the Challenge, then escaped the battle with Deadly Wounds. Tough nut to crack, that bugger Hargrog. If I may ask, what was his Health after the turn ran?
